1. Press Home > Menu and touch System settings > Sound > Silent mode.
2. Select an option:

Off to disable the silent mode.

Vibrate to mute all sounds but vibrate. You can select the vibrate pattern. See
Vibrate Pattern.

Mute to mute all sounds.
Tip: Press the volume button down in standby mode until you see or on the
screen.
Phone Ringtone
You can select and assign ringtones for your incoming calls.
1. Press Home > Menu and touch System settings > Sound > Phone ringtone.
2. Touch a ringtone from the available list. The ringtone briefly plays when selected.
3. Touch OK to assign a ringtone.
Tip: You can assign individual ringtones to the entries in People. See Assign a Ringtone to
an Entry.
Vibrate Pattern
You can select the vibrate pattern.
1. Press Home > Menu and touch System settings > Sound > Vibrate pattern.
2. Touch a vibrate pattern from the available list. Your device briefly vibrates when
selected.
3. Touch OK to assign a vibrate pattern.
Default Notification
Use the settings menus to assign specific ringtones for notifications.
1. Press Home > Menu and touch System settings > Sound > Default
notification.
2. Touch a notification sound from the available list. The sound briefly plays when
selected.
3. Touch OK to assign a notification sound.
