The LT-4130 Antenna Unit must be installed outside the radar main beam. Typically, this is in the order of
10 degrees. To avoid near field antenna coupling, a minimum distance of 2.5 m (6 ft) between the radar
antenna and the LT-4130 Antenna Unit must be obeyed. Figure 13 is illustrating how the LT-4130 Antenna
Unit should be mounted to avoid interference from radars.
IMPORTANT: Failing to obey the specified installation conditions will void the warranty. However,
depending on the specific radar frequency and power level, the separation distance
between the radar and the LT-4130 Antenna Unit may be reduced, with no impact on the
antenna performance. The performance of the LT-4130 Antenna Unit should be validated
when the LT-4100 system is installed.
