3 - Calibraon
The accuracy can
be reached with
standard wine,
whose properes
are similar to the wine to be
tested. If no standard wine is
available, it can be replaced
by demineralized water
déminéralisée, considered as
standard wine with alcoholic
content of 0% but accuracy
will be lower.
• Rinsing
- Check that the drain valve is correctly closed.
- Rell the boiler with the standard wine to the boom of the condenser.
Then empty the boiler using the drain valve.
• Boiling point of the standard wine
- Rell the boiler to the boom of the meniscus above the red line.
- Turn on the instrument using the on/o switch.
The main screen appears.
- Let cold water circulate into the condenser, with a regular ow, not
excessive.
- Press the heang buon during at least 8 seconds to launch calibraon.
The following screen appears successively :
The heang (shown by the symbol ) lasts about 7 minutes, during which
the temperature rise can be seen on the screen.
To stop heang during the operaon, press again on the heang buon.
- When the boiling temperature is stable, the device makes a beep to
indicate the end of the measurement. Heang stops automacally.
- The boiling temperature T
Standard remains on the display.
- Match the alcohol content of the standard wine with its boiling temperature
TStandard on the disc, or use the programme «EBULLIOLOG», entering the
values «Reference Temperature» and «Alcoholic reference».
- Drain.
- Press briey the heang buon to come back to the main screen. The
device is ready for a sample measurement.
• Example
Standard wine with ocial alcohol degree = 9,2 % vol (± 0,05% vol.)
TStandard= 93,1°C
Calibrate the disc as indicated in the picture opposite.
Never turn on the
instrument using
the heang switch
when the boiler is empty or
when draining. You might
damage the instrument
if you do not observe this
rule.
The calibraon allows to measure the boiling point of a standard wine to calibrate the disk or the calcula-
on soware and inialize the atmospheric pressure sensor. This operaon must be repeated each me the
device is turned on.

Model 160350T with tradional thermometer :
Press the heang buon 5 seconds to launch heang. When the wine is boiling, check on the thermometer
that the temperature is stable (aer 1 to 2 minutes). Once it is stable, record the boiling temperature TStandard.
Turn o the heang using the heang switch. Adjust the disk or the programme as indicated above.
Repeat calibraon every 2 hours.
