4 - Sample measurement
Some wines with
a high volume of
CO2 foam during
boiling. Excessive foaming
may interfere on the measure.
Pour two drops of defoamer
if necessary with the supplied
dropping-pipee directly
into the condenser to lessen
foaming.

Rinsing
- Check that the drain valve is correctly closed.
- Rell the boiler with the standard wine to the rst ball of the condenser,
then empty the boiler using the drain valve.
Boiling point of the standard wine
- Rell the boiler to the boom of the meniscus above the red line.
- Check that the refrigerang circuit is sll acve.
- Press the heang buon during 5 to 8 seconds to launch measurement.
The heang (shown by the symbol ) lasts about 7 minutes, during which
the temperature rise can be seen on the screen.
To stop heang during the operaon, press again on the heang buon.
- When the boiling temperature is stable, the device makes a beep to
indicate the end of the measurement. Heang stops automacally.
- The boiling temperature T
Wine remains on the display.
- Check that the disc is correctly calibrated or the programme «EBULLIOLOG»
correctly set up. Then read the alcohol content of the wine matching with
the boiling temperature TWine, or in the programme «EBULLIOLOG», enter
the value «Sample temperatur and click on the buon Calculaon of
dosage to obtain the alcohol content of the sample.
- Drain.
- Press briey the heang buon to come back to the main screen. The
device is ready for a new sample measurement.
Exemple
Calibraon of the disc with a standard wine at 9,2 % vol. and T
Standard=93,1°C
according to the previous example.
TWine = 91,4°C
Alcohol content of the wine = 12,2% vol (± 0,1%)
A sample mesure can only be done aer a calibraon has been done, at least aer turning the device on to
reinialize the atmospheric pressure sensor.

Aer the
calibration,
an integrated
atmospheric
pressure sensor determines
the correcon to apply to the
measured temperature.
The temperature displayed at
the end of the measurement
is corrected yet from the
possible atmospheric pressure
changes bewteen calibraon
and measurement.
