FANSTAR T OPERA TION
The use of air sock s f or spac e c ondit ioning allows high air v olum es t o be distributed at low v elocity and is becoming a comm on
feature in many applications. To accommodate this trend, Air-sock control is offered which allows the air socks to be
progressiv ely filled with air on start up. It takes up to 1 minute to go from 0% of air to f ull air flow.

Both return air and f resh air damper are linked with and independent actuator.
The return air damper is c ont rolled by a spring ret urn damper driv en by the oppos it e signal deliv ered to the f res h air dam per.
An auxiliary switch allows setting a minimum (f ew %) of return air opening
bef ore the f an is switched on.
Starting steps:
- Both dampers are f ully closed and Fan is OFF
- Rooftop is set to RUN (by the schedule or the remote display order)
- Return air damper move to the minimum position manually adjustable
on the auxiliary switch, Fresh air damper is OFF
- Fan motor starts
- Return air damper goes to 100% return air slowly during 1 minute
allowing the duct to be smoothly inflated
- Finally , the f resh air damper and return air damper return to adjusted
fresh air ratio recorded in the climatic50 program
