1.GototheC:\SWTOOLS\ldiagdirectory.
2.Double-clickthegui_lsc_lite.exefile.
3.WhentheUserAccountControlwindowopens,clickYes.
4.Selectthedeviceclasstobetested.
5.Selectthedevicestobetested.
6.Selectthetesttobeperformed.
7.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentostartthetest.Whenaproblemisdetected,information
messagesaredisplayed.Refertothemessagestotroubleshoottheproblem.
UEFIdiagnosticprogram
AUEFIdiagnosticprogramispreinstalledonthecomputer.Itenablesyoutotestmemorymodulesand
internalstoragedevices,viewsysteminformation,andcheckandrecoverbadsectorsoninternalstorage
devices.
ToruntheUEFIdiagnosticprogram,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonthecomputer.Ifthecomputercannotbeturnedon,goto“Powersystemcheckout”onpage26,
andcheckthepowersources.Ifanerrorcodeisdisplayed,goto“Symptom-to-FRUindex”onpage40
forerrorcodedescriptionsandtroubleshootinghints.
2.WhentheThinkPadlogoisdisplayed,repeatedlypressandreleasetheF10key.Themainscreenofthe
UEFIdiagnosticprogramisdisplayed.
3.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentousethediagnosticprogram.
