ToinstalltheTR300Key,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage83.
4.LocatetheiButtonsocketonthesystemboard.See“Systemboardcomponents”onpage48.Ifthereis
anyPCIExpresscardinstalledontherisercardassembly1,itmightblockyouraccesstotheiButton
socketonthesystemboard.Inthiscase,youneedtoremovethecoolingshroudandthencarefullylift
therisercardassembly1upsothatyoucanaccesstheiButtonsocket.Youdonotneedtodisconnect
anycablesfromtherisercardassembly1orcompletelyremovetherisercardassembly1.
5.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheTR300Keytoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheTR300Keyoutofthepackage.
