1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage75.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercoveronpage75.
4.LocatetheAnyRAIDadapterorPCIepass-throughboard.See“Servercomponents”onpage29.
5.LoosenthetwoscrewsandgrasptheAnyRAIDadapterorPCIepass-throughboardbyitsedges
andcarefullypullitout.
Note:theAnyRAIDadapterorPCIepass-throughboardmightfittightlyintotheslots.Ifnecessary,
alternativelymoveeachsideoftheAnyRAIDadapterorPCIepass-throughboardasmallandequal
amountuntilitisremovedfromtheslots.

6.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewAnyRAIDadapterorPCIepass-through
