representsthedrivename.Usethecorrespondingfilenameonyourserver.
4.Restartyourserver.
InstallingthedriverforanEthernetcard
ThistopicprovidesinstructionsoninstallingdriversforthefollowingEthernetcards:
•I350-T2
•I350-T4
•X520–DA2
•X520–SR2
•X540–T2
ToinstallthedriverforanEthernetcard,dothefollowing:
1.DownloadthedriverforanEthernetcardfromtheLenovoWebsite.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,
unzipittoafolder.Then,copythefoldertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSBstorage
devicetoyourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
cd/tmp
tarzxvfe1000e-x.x.x.x.tar.gz
cde1000e-x.x.x.x/src
makeinstall
Notes:
•Ifthefileextensionisnot.tar.gz,skipthesecondcommand.
•Inthecommandlines,e1000erepresentsthedrivername.x.x.x.xrepresentsthedriverfileversion.
Usethecorrespondingfilenameonyourserver.
4.Restartyourserver.
5.ClickComputerandthenclickYaST.
6.IntheYaSTControlCenterwindow,clickNetworkDevices➙NetworkSettings.TheEthernetcard
listisdisplayed.
7.SelecttheEthernetcardthatyouwanttoconfigure.Then,clickEdit.
8.IntheNetworkCardSetupwindow,selectStaticallyassignedIPAddress,andconfigureyourdesired
settingsintheIPAddressandSubnetMaskarea.
9.RepeatthepreviousstepstoconfigureotherEthernetcards.Then,clickOK.
