Locate the blue release latch for the battery.

Unlatch the battery by pushing the release latch down and away from the controller canister.

Lift up on the battery, and slide it out of the controller canister.
Step 2c: Remove host interface card (duplex)
If the controller canister includes a host interface card (HIC), you must remove the HIC from the
original controller canister, so you can reuse it in the new controller canister.
Steps
1.
Using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that attach the HIC faceplate to the
controller canister.
