Step 3. Remove the screw that secures the adapter.
Step 4. Grasp the adapter by upper corners, and remove it from the system board.

Procedure
Step 1. Make preparations for this task.
a. Remove the top cover (see “Remove the top cover” on page 214).
b. Disconnect all the cables (including external ones) from the adapters that are installed in the
PCIe riser card assembly.
c. Remove the PCIe riser assembly where the adapter has been installed (see “Remove the PCIe
riser assembly” on page 157).
Step 2. Open the retaining latch on the PCIe riser card assembly.
