Notwithstanding the above, consider the advantages when using mains chokes:
ƒ Increase of the available mains power by approx. 50 %
ƒ Reduction of the transient mains current at short−term power−off
ƒ Reduction of the mains current to approx. 2/3 of the value without mains choke
This increases the service life of the DC bus capacitor considerably. Regarding the
service life, the i700 devices are dimensioned for 40.000 h.
