5 DEFAULT & OPTIONAL DUCT CONFIGURATIONS (195DCS)
Note: DIP Switch #2 must be set to “OFF” position (factory default) to disable recirculation operation mode on
the controller.
During defrost mode, a damper closes off the air from outside port, which opens the 5th port and allows air to
enter the unit from the mechanical room.
Note: DIP Switch #2 must be set to “ON” position to enable recirculation operation mode on the controller.
During defrost mode, a damper closes off the air from outside port, which opens the 5th port and allows the
exhaust air to recirculate through the unit. Therefore, the unit operates as a recirculation defrost unit.

Figure A ducting configuration can lead to negative pressure in the mechanical room during defrost
mode.
