The only connections to the L1403 HD Transmitter unit are HD SDI video, analogue audio and if required an RS232 data
link. Power is supplied either via the attached battery plate or external LEMO connector.
The power switch on the base of the L1403 is provided to switch the L1403 / L1420 when power is supplied from the rear
battery plate. This switch cannot be used to control the supply to the forward camera interface plate which is always fed
power from the battery.
The power to the L1403 is also always supplied from the LEMO connector, if required an external switch must be used to
control the unit.
The L1403 can be supplied with various interface plates providing mounting of different batteries and to different camera
mounts - either IDX / Sony ‘V’ , PAG Lok or Anton Bauer Gold Mount are available.
Adaptor brackets are also available to allow mounting of the L1403 to the rear of Thompson LDK6000 series of cameras.
These interface plates provide a ‘quick release’ mechanism of the L1403/L1420 from the HD camera.

A transmit antenna is directly mounted to the unit via the 50 ‘N’ type connector.
The receive antenna is then directly docked onto the L3020 Down Converter which converts from the 1.95 - 2.7GHz (or 3.4
– 3.58GHz) frequency to the UHF signal that is fed to the L2132 receiver via a 75 cable.
This single cable also carries the phantom power used to supply the L3020 Down Converter.
Depending upon cable quality and other factors this can be up to 100m from the L2132 Receiver.
The SDI video, ASI and audio outputs are then taken from the rear of the L2132 ½ width ‘19” rack receiver unit.
