Change the display between force/dis tance and stress/stra in by using the display ra dio buttons (1)

Strain can be expres sed in two different ways, as "engineering strain" and "true strain". Engineering s train is the ratio of the change in length to
the original length, wherea s the true stra in is simila r but bas ed on the insta nta neous length of the specimen as the test progresses. Choose
between true and engineering stra in us ing the stra in radio buttons (2). Tick the % box if you wish to show the strain in percent

The 'Show calibrated values ' check box (3) switches the dis play between the raw output from the transducer, and the calibrated value. The
default is to display the ca librated values.

To cha nge the default speed at which the jaws move, tap on the default speed setting (4). A keypa d will appea r where you can choos e a speed.

The Calibrate control (5) will open the tensile calibra tion screen.
