Guide for troubleshooting for PS2 pump controller
If the pump off reason still exists, you need to replace the IO-board. If the replacement has not
resolved the failure, please replace the Main-Board as well because in this case the IO-board was
not able to protect the Main-Board.
However, if the pump off reason does not appear anymore you need to check the sensor. The
connected sensors (Well Probe and Remote Switch) are normally close sensors (e.g. the Well
Probe closes the contact if it is submerged). Please follow the next steps to identify whether the
sensor is in open circuit position or in close contact position.
• Reconnect the PV Generator
• Reconnect PumpScanner with the
controller
• Check whether the pump off reason still
exists
• Configure your multimeter
o Choose resistance –
measurement
o Insert the test prods into its
provided sockets (black to COM
& red to Ω)
• The usage of grabber clips strongly
increases the usability of this test
