(11) Adjusting HST control linkage (HST type)
Check if the HST tractor stops when taking off your foot from the HST pedal while driving the tractor
in “Low speed” of the range gear shift lever. If the tractor does not stop and moves slowly, stop the
tractor with using the brake pedals. To adjust the neutral position of the HST models, contract your
authorized local dealer and comply with the following instructions.
Adjustment of “NEUTRAL” position of the HST control.
1. Stop tractor on a level ground and stop the engine.
2. Lift the rear wheel of the tractor off the ground sufficiently by using a hoist. If there is no hoist, use a
suitable device can lift the tractor safely. For tractor weight, refer to chapter “Dimension and
Specification” in this manual.
3. Place the 4WD lever to “2WD” position and apply wheel chocks to the front wheels. It is necessary
for the tractor not to move forward when the engine starts.
4. Start the engine and place the range gear shift lever in “Low speed” position.
5. After loosening locking bolt① slightly, turn the shaft② to the left/right-hand direction little by little to
get the neutral position of the HST linkage by the roller③. After adjusting, tighten the locking bolt①.
6. Check if the HST forward pedal⑥ and HST reverse pedal⑦ are aligned as shown in the below
figure. If necessary, rearrange the pedal position with adjusting the rod⑩, and reset the forward
pedal stopper⑧ and reverse pedal stopper⑨.
7. Check if the neutral switch⑤ is pressed enough for starting engine.
8. After restarting the engine, check the neutral status of the HST linkage again.
▶When adjusting, DO NOT get close to the rotating parts. It may cause a serious
injury.
▶When lifting the rear of the tractor, the tractor may incline to the left or right by
oscillating angle of the front axle. Insert suitable chocks between front axle and
engine frame tightly.
