(5) Tension adjustment of Fan belt
If the tension of fan belt exceeds the normal
value, loosen the bolts and adjust the tension.
- Belt tension: crank shaft pulley ~ alternator
pulley
- Normal : approx. 10~12mm (0.4~0.5 in.)
(When pressed by 98N (22 lb))
When adjusting the tension,
1. Loosen two bolts of alternator and a hinge bolt
of the adjusting plate, and insert a
bar between crank case and alternator.
2. Pull and hold the bar to apply proper tension to
the belt, tighten the upper bolt of the alternator.
3. If the belt tension becomes normal, tighten the
other bolts and check the tightening torque.

(7) In-line pressure filter (if fitted)
If this in-line pressure filter is clogged, the
automatic leveling control or electro-hydraulic lift
(EHL) may not be operated smoothly.
This filter is located in front of the right rear axle
housing.
If the indicator installed on the filter housing is
changed from green color to red color, replace
the element with a new one.
(6) Toe-in
Check and adjust the toe-in of the front wheels
and if needed, adjust it as below.
Normal value : B – A = 0~5 mm (0~0.2 in.)
Loosen lock nut of the tie-rod (both side).
Fix steering cylinder and turn adjuster counter-
clockwise, the toe-in (“B-A”) shall be increased.
Turn adjuster of the other side to the same
displacement.
After adjusting the toe-in, tighten the lock-nuts.
