 Clear the error codes
and verify
 Turn ignition OFF
 Ensure that the fan relay is
inserted properly in the
connector
 Remove the relay
 Give 12 volts to terminal 86
and ground the terminal 85
of the relay
 A clicking sound to be heard
Step

Is the clicking
sound heard?
 Turn ignition OFF
 Replace the fan relay
with a new one
 Connect the smart tester
 Turn the ignition ON
 Initialize the diagnostic tool
 Record the DTC and clear
 Turn ignition OFF
 Turn ignition ON
 Verify if P0480,P0691,P0692 or
P0607 is present
