 Insert the fan relay in
its position
 Turn ignition ON
 Check voltage between
terminal 86 of fan relay
connector and battery
ground
Is the voltage 12
Volts?
YES
NO
Step 3
 Turn ignition OFF
 Fan relay REMOVED
 ECU connector
DICONNECTED
 Check continuity between
terminal 85 of fan relay
connector and terminal 72 of
ECU connector.
 Turn ignition OFF
 Fan Relay
DISCONNECTED
 Check fuel pump fuse (15A)
& replace if necessary
 Check the wiring harness
between terminal 86 of fan
relay connector and terminal
87 of the ECU relay for
continuity
 Repair / Replace wiring
harness if necessary
Does continuity
exist?
YES
NO
Go to Step 4
 Examine the open circuit
 Repair / replace wiring
harness
