 Turn ignition OFF
 Check voltage at terminal
16 of the Diagnostic
connector and battery
negative

Is the voltage 12
volts?
 Connect the smart tester to the
diagnostic connector
 Ignition ON
 Check whether smart tester is
connected
YES
NO
Go to Step 3
 Turn ignition OFF
 Check fuse no.12 (10
amps), replace if
necessary
 Check wiring harness
between Diagnostic
connector and battery
positive terminal, replace
if necessary
Is the smart
tester is
connected ?
NO
YES
 Diagnostic Connector is OK
