 Ignition OFF
 VSS connector
DISCONNECTED
 ECU connector
CONNECTED
 Check the continuity between
pin 2 of the VSS connector
and battery negative
 Ignition OFF
 Examine the reverse light
10 A fuse
 If fuse is found OK,
examine the open circuit
of the reference voltage
line
 Repair the open circuit
 Clear the error codes and
verif

 Ignition OFF
 Examine the open circuit
in ground line
 Repair /replace the wiring
harness
 Clear the error codes and
verify
YES
 Ignition OFF
 Check the continuity between
pin 3 of the VSS connector and
pin 22 of the ECU connector

Does continuity
exist?
N
O
 Ignition OFF
 Examine the open circuit
of the signal line
 Repair/replace the wiring
harness
 Clear the error codes and
verify
N
O
 Ignition OFF
 Replace the VSS with new
one
 Clear the error codes and
verify
 If problem persists,
replace the ECU
