Disassembling water pump
The following special tools are required for disas-
sembling and assembling the water pump:

D Improvised tools, see page 134.

Remove V-belt pulley.
Pull off water pump hub with a stable three-arm
puller.

Unclip the circlip from the water-pump housing.
Fig. 3
Press impeller off the shaft, using a suitable man-
drel. For this purpose align water–pump housing
horizontally on a stable support.
The picture shows an assembly device for this. If
such a device is not available, use a support ring
(special tool, see page 134).
Use a suitable mandrel to press the water–pump
shaft together with bearing out of the housing.
Shaft and bearing are encapsulated and ex-
changed together only.
