Front or rear load drum will not raise load, but will lower load.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Block up limit is opened; Pump is faulty; Rated capacity indicator/limiter (RCL) circuit is open;
Control handle is faulty; Maximum bail limit is opened; Speed sender is faulty.
CHECKS
Check diagnostic screen D2 (see Diagnostic Display topic in section 3).

switch operation, wiring, or fuse.

Repair or replace control handle/wiring.
Is +2.3 or more volts present at
pump EDC with handle moved
back? (See Test 13.)
Replace pump EDC
or replace pump.

directions, does A1 diagnostic screen (bank 1 and
2) read 38 to 120 in lower or 136 to 215 in raise?

Check jib shorting plug for continuity across pins A to C
in boom top junction box.
Does RIN screen (bank 7) read 255?
Yes No
Disconnect LMI boom cable at boom top. Test cable for
continuity across pins A to C for 12 volts from source.

Check RIN system for problem.
Repair switch or wiring.
Yes

Replace junction box.
Reconnect LMI cable at boom top junction box.
Does RIN screen (bank 7) change from 0 to 255?
Consult dealer/
factory.
Does diagnostic DRUM 1or 2 screen (bank 1) reach
+100% handle control with handle moved back?

Repair or replace control handle.
Replace shorting plug.

Check anti-two block switches.
If problem returns and RIN screen (bank 7) changes
back to 0, disconnect all connections to boom top
universal junction box. After 5 minutes reconnect boom
cable. Does RIN screen (bank 7) change from 0 to 255
and remain for 10 minutes? (NOTE: Junction box has a
poly-fuse that is tripped and reset by temperature.)
