Summary
The ABT1010, Anchor Bay’s second generation video scaling chip is targeted at low-cost DVD player/
recorder applications requiring up-conversion from 480p/576p to high-definition formats including
1080p. The ABT1010 features Anchor Bay’s proprietary 10-bit Precision Video Scaling
™
engine that
can independently scale an image horizontally and vertically to achieve an outstanding picture quality
for today’s high resolution video displays.

• 16/20-bit YCbCr (4:2:2)
• 8/10-bit YCbCr (4:2:2) - multiplexed YC mode
• Embedded and separate sync support
• Video Formats: 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p
• Pass-through mode for all input formats plus 720p and 1080i – useful for passing through
480i/576i to HDMI

• 24-bit RGB/YCbCr (4:4:4)
• 20-bit YCbCr (4:2:2)
• Separate syncs with DE
• Video Formats: 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
• CEA-861D-compliant timing and color space
— BT.601 for standard-definition outputs
— BT.709 for high-definition outputs
• Other custom resolutions are supported but may require an external PLL
