10 Cylinder head, cylinder and piston
10.1 Removal
• You do not have to dismantle the engine to
perform an inspection of the cylinder.
• Remove the plastic covers on both sides of
the cylinder and the mudflap on top of the
cylinder.
• Remove the ignition coil.
• Remove the spark plug (in the middle of
the cylinder head shown in figure 33).

• Remove the 4 nuts shown in figure 33. Loosen
the nuts in cross patterns. Loosen the nuts
in ¼ turn increments.
• Now you can remove the cylinder head.
Also remove the cylinder head gasket.
• Next, remove the cylinder as illustrated in
figure 34. Also, remove the cylinder gasket.
