Head operation:
Step 1: Toaddwatertotheheadbeforeusing,raisetheushle-
ver(nearthedeck)untilthedesiredwaterlevelisreached.
Generally,morewaterisneededonlywhenushingsolids.
Step 2: To ush the head, press the ush lever sharply down to
thedeckuntilthecontentsclearthebowl.Asharppopping
noiseisnormalwhenthevacuumsealisbroken.Holdthe
leverdownforthree(3)seconds.Afterushing,letthelever
snapbackintoposition.Iftheushleverisaccidentallyre-
leasedbeforewasteclearsthebowl,donotushagainuntil
thevacuumpumpstopsrunning.Asmallamountofwater
remainsinthebowlafterushing.
Step 3: Donotdisposeofsanitarynapkinsorothernon-dissolving
items in the head.These items can cause plugging of the
system.
Following operation:
Step 1: Dispose of waste properly. (DO NOT DISPOSE OF
WASTE IN ANY LOCATION, INCLUDING NAV-
IGABLE BODIES OF WATER, WHERE SUCH
DISPOSAL IS ILLEGAL OR CREATES AN ENVI-
RONMENTAL HAZARD.)
Step 2: Keepthesystemclean,usingmilddetergentorcleaner.
Bothtypesofheadsaresuppliedwithin-depthinstructions,which
willbefoundintheheadandshouldberemovedandreadpriorto
therstuseofthesystem.StoretheinstructionswiththisOwner’s
Manualandotherimportantmaterialregardingtheboat.
Useonlyrapid-dissolvetoiletpaperwiththeseheadsystems,and
onlydeodorantspeciallyformulatedforthistypeofheadsystem.See
instructions for details. In the event that anything from the head’s
bowlorholdingtankescapes,itshouldbecleanedassoonasprac-
ticable. Failuretoclean anyspillagemayresultin unpleasantodors,
mildew,moldanddamagetothedeckorotherareasoftheboat.This
isnotcoveredunderwarranty.

Heater
AllMasterCraftmodelsofferaheateroption.Theheater’sthree-
positionswitchisturnedupforON(LOW),orturneddownforON
(HIGH).ThecenterpositionisOFF.Warmedairfromanelectrically
poweredheaterboxwillbeblownfromventswithintheboatdeck.
Inregularuse,theheatershouldnotrequireanyroutinemaintenance.
However,itis advisabletoavoidplacingitemsinfrontof thevents,
particularlywhentheheaterisinuse.Theheatedaircomingoutcould
causedamage.
Never run the heater in a conned space, such as a garage or
shop.Fumesfromtheenginecanhavedeadlyconsequences.Seealso
the Common Sense Approach sectionofthisOwner’sManualregarding
carbonmonoxidedanger.
Carbon monoxide is emitted from the engine’s exhaust
system. Never run the engine without proper ventilation.
Do not run the engine in a confined space or where fumes
may be trapped.
Hydraulic Steering System
Somemodelsofferahydraulicsteeringsystemasanoption.At
any time,ifthe steering is sluggish, difcult, or shows any signs of
notworkingsmoothlyandproperly,theboatshouldimmediatelybe
takentoanauthorizedMasterCraftdealerforattention.Thehydrau
-
licsteeringsystemisnotaccessibletotheconsumerforrepairor
maintenance,allofwhichshouldbedonebyanauthorizedMaster
-
Craftdealer.
Lighting
Somemodelsmaybeequippedwithincandescentbulbsinthehead,
storageareasorinsomeinstancesintheforwardandaft-facinglights.
Theselightsarereplaceableaswouldbeanyincandescentlightbulb.
OtherlightingthatisL.E.D.willrequirereplacementalongwiththe
housinginwhichtheyarecontained.Thisincludestheunderwaterlights,
courtesylightsandotherauxiliarylighting.Theselightswillneedtobe
replacedbyanauthorizedMasterCraftdealer.
Also note that the underwater lights should never be operat-
ed unless the boat is in the water. Even though these are L.E.D.
lights, they generate some heat and require the cooling effect
of the water to avoid premature burn-out of the bulb.
