12.8. SSV manual and remote release
12.8.2 Application / Function
The direct-acting solenoid valve is used as electromagnetic remote release for closing the
safety shut-off valve. Only for SSV control devices of functional class A.
Upon being energized or in case of power failure, the valve closes the impulse line, resulting in the pressure falling
below the response pressure to be monitored. As a result, the SSV actuator shuts off the gas flow gas-tight.
After being released, the safety shut-off valve can only be opened by hand and engaged in the open position.
