INSTALLING OPTIONAL ASSIST RAILS
Tools Required: Adjustable Pliers
Materials Required: Assist Rails (FCE1232RSRN, FCE1232RSRXT, FCEQRSIDE, FCE1232ABN)
CAUTION: Follow the installation instructions carefully and check that all hardware/
fasteners are properly installed and tight. Failure to do so may result in unexpected movement
of the rails and could result in patient or caregiver injury

1. 1. The side rail mounting rods come pre-installed on the head and foot sections of the
Alterra MAXX bed.
2. Tighten each mounting rod using a 5mm Allen wrench and a ½” open end wrench.
