Note
If the symbol lights up during the cleaning process, it means that there is
air in the lines inside the appliance.
– Should this happen, ll the water tank and press the button for coffee
strength.
The pump inside the appliance is activated. After it has been successfully
vented, the appliance is ready for operation.
9.4 Integrated descaling programme
The integrated descaling programme removes limescale in the interior of the
appliance. It takes a total of approximately 30 minutes. The symbol for descaling
ashes during the entire process.
Prerequisite: The appliance must be switched off (see „Switching on and off“
on page 49).
Caution!
– Carry out the integrated descaling programme every 3 months or when the
descaling symbol illuminates on the display.
– Only use Melitta
®
ANTI CALC Espresso Machine descaling agent. These
descaling products are specically designed for the Melitta
®
CAFFEO
®
SOLO
®
.
– Never use vinegar or other descaling agents.
Run the integrated descaling programme as follows:
1 Before descaling, remove – if used – the Melitta
®
Claris
®
water lter
from the water tank (see page 50).
2 Simultaneously press both the button for two-cup dispensing and
the ON/OFF button for about 3 seconds.
→ The symbol for descaling ashes.
The drip tray symbol illuminates.
