4.13 LIGHTING CHECKLIST
Be sure to check these items before final operation of the Fireplace.
☐ All items on "Installation Checklist" must be completed.
☐ Carefully follow all lighting and log installation instructions. Make certain that pilot flame lights immediately and lights both
front and rear burners.
☐ Gas leaks and gas pressures prior to installing facing materials is checked.
☐ Fresh batteries are in remote control. Follow “First-Time Lighting Instructions” to synchronize the remote control and the
ignition module.
☐ Air shutter opening 0" to ⅛" for natural gas or ¼” to fully open for LP gas is checked.
☐ All lighting and log installation instructions were followed.
☐ Burners light immediately, and flame runs promptly around rear burner and lights entire burner.
Note: Do not proceed with operation unless burner cycles "on/off" without delays.
☐ Flame is "stable" and does not "lift" off burner after 5 minutes of startup. If flame still lifts off burner after 5 minutes, turn
unit off and check that all vent pipes are "twist locked" and leak proof, the vent cap is "right side up”. Do not proceed with
operation if flame is "lifting off" burner.
☐ DO NOT proceed with operation unless burner cycles "on/off" without delays and the flame is "stable" and not "lifting" off
burner after 5 minutes of initial ignition.
Caution: If the ignition system goes into lockout mode, be sure to wait a minimum of five minutes before re-
lighting.
