Safety instructions
The product complies with the basic requirements for medical devices according to the
medical device directive 93/42/EEC.
The manufacturer can, however, not be held liable if any damage or consequential
damage is caused due to non-compliance with the following instructions:
 Repair work may only be performed by the manufacturer. (see tech. data, page 5)
 The therapy system may only be used with the accessories which are included in the
scope of delivery such as the infrared neck cushion, infrared back cushion, infrared calf
cushion, andullation belt and power andullator. The indicated accessories may only be
used in connection with the system. The accessories may not be used individually
without the system or in a different way than intended.
The use of different accessories and cables may have a negative influence on
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
 All components and accessories of the therapy system are to be protected against
moisture.
 Set the system up in a place where any electrostatic interactions with the device are
avoided. Do not use it on plastic carpets or similar flooring!
 The area where the therapy system is used may not be left unattended since lines/cables
pose a strangulation hazard for babies and children.
 Avoid tripping hazards caused by lines/cables and never support yourself on the manual
control.
 If the treatment period is too long, contact injuries may result (redness, minor burns).
 The therapy system may only be transported in its original packaging.
 No changes may be made to the device which is not considered as intended use.
 The therapy system and all accessories must be protected against direct sunlight.
 Pets must be kept away from the device and its supply lines.
 The therapy system may not be used near heaters or fireplaces.
 If the product is not used as intended, is operated incorrectly or not properly repaired, the
manufacturer will no longer be liable for any resulting damage.
 This product may only be used together with the power supply unit – see technical data,
page 5.
 In case of errors during use, prior to cleaning and care and after use, always pull the
mains plug of the power supply unit.
 Disconnect all poles of the device from the mains prior to cleaning, maintenance and
disinfection.
 When you pull the mains plug out of the socket, never pull at the line and never use wet
hands.
 Never pull the power supply line over sharp edges or jam it.
 Children and disabled people may not use the system without supervision.
 Do not use the product in a damp environment such as a bathroom or swimming pool.
 Do not stick sharp objects such as needles or similar in the device. Never transport the
product in an unintended manner by lifting it at the connection lines.
 Never switch on the infrared heat under covers or cushions when the system is
unattended.
 Depending on the frequency of use, the product is to be checked thoroughly for damage
to the artificial leather cover and the cables from time to time.
 It is not allowed to disconnect the applied parts from the device during application. In
addition, please ensure that the device is not accidentally disconnected during operation.
