1. About this operation manual
This operation manual is a basic guide book for the installation and operation of MICRODIGITAL Inc.'s New L Series Network
Camera.
Network experienced users as well as beginners should carefully read this manual for the safety before the installation
and operation and it will also provide users with taking full advantage of all quality features of the Camera.
Please keep this manual in a good condition for the future reference and service application.
Changes or modification not expressly approved by MICRODIGITAL Inc. could void the user's authority to operate the Cam-
era.
The installation should be made by qualified service personnel and should conform to all local codes.
2. Safety Instructions
Please read the following instructions carefully to prevent any damage and loss for life and property.
Give a special attention to keep the Camera from the dangerous drop or external shock in transportation or handling.
Do not install the Camera in a place of vibration.
Do not move the Camera in operation.
● Do not install the Camera on an uneven surface and in order to prevent injury, the Camera must be firmly attached to the
wall or ceiling.
● Clean the Camera only with dry cloth.
Avoid installing the Camera at a place of high humidity or in extremely hot/cold weather.
Avoid installing the Camera at the place exposed to gas or oil.
Never try to touch the Camera in wet hand. It may cause an electric shock.
Do not place heavy items on the power cable. It may cause a fire and an electric shock.
To avoid electric shock, never try to dismantle the Camera. All maintenance should be carried by qualified personnel.
● Do not block any ventilation openings. It may cause a fire.
Stuck-in or peeled-off cable can cause damage to the product or a fire.
To avoid the damage of the Camera from an unexpected blackout, it's recommended to use UPS (Uninterruptible Power
Supply). Consult an authorized local dealer or agent of UPS.
Unplug the Camera during light storms or when unused for long periods of time.
● If any liquid or solid matter gets into the housing, immediately disconnect the Camera from power supply and have it
checked by an authorized dealer before reusing.
In case of abnormal smell and smoke on the Camera, disconnect the main plug from the Camera and call an authorized
dealer in your location.
