Symbols in the display
The following symbols may also appear in the display in addition to the text and
drinks symbols:
Symbol Explanation
Some settings, e.g. display brightness and buzzer/keypad
volume, are selected using a bar chart.
This symbol indicates that there is additional information
and advice about using the coffee machine.
Select OK to confirm the information.
The system lock is activated (see "Settings – Locking the
coffee machine (System lock )"): The coffee machine can‐
not be operated.
The timer is activated for Switch on at (see "Settings – Tim‐
er"). The symbol and the desired switching on time appear
in the display 23:59 hours before the coffee machine is due
to switch on, as long as On or Night dimming is selected for
the time display.
This symbol appears during the Clean the milk pipework main‐
tenance programme.

this mark).
This appears while the appliance is being descaled.
(This symbol can also be found on the water container: fill
up to this mark).
SuperVision display – only appears if the coffee machine
has been signed on to the Miele@home appliance network
and " SuperVision display – On" has been selected. Please
note that Miele@home is only available in selected coun‐
tries.
