Anesthesia instruments (AN)
Typically, these instruments are
heat-disinfected with the program
DES-VAR-TD-AN.
However, a thermochemical program
can be used if needed. In such cases,
the water quantities in the chemical
disinfection program need to be
increased. The efficacy of
thermochemical disinfection depends
on the disinfectant used.
If no sterilization will occur after
washing, germ growth will need to
be inhibited during storage.
Because this requires thorough
drying, a sufficient amount of drying
time must be selected.
The units for anaesthesia
instruments come with their own
instructions for use.
