Installation surface
A concrete floor is the most suitable in-
stallation surface for this machine, be-
ing far less prone to vibration during the
spin cycle than wooden floorboards or
a carpeted surface.
Please note:
The washer-dryer must be level and
securely positioned.
To avoid vibrations during spinning
the washer-dryer must not be in-
stalled on soft floor coverings.
If installing on a wooden joist floor:
We recommend installing the ma-
chine on a plywood base at least 59
x52x 3 cm). The base should span
several joists and be bolted to the
joist and not only the floorboards.
Check for the presence of pipes and
cables first.
Tip: If possible, install the machine in a
corner, as this is usually the most stable
part of the floor.
If the washer-dryer is installed on
an existing on-site plinth (concrete or
brick), there is a danger of the ma-
chine falling off the plinth during the
spin cycle.
The washer-dryer must be secured
with an MTS floor mounting kit (avail-
able from Miele).
Installing the washer-dryer
Hold the washer-dryer by the front feet
and by the edge of the lid where it pro-
trudes to the rear of the machine.
Danger of slippage during spin-
ning.
The machine feet and installation
surface must be dry.
Remove the transit bars
Remove the left and right covers.
1. Pull on the attached stopper and
2. then use a screwdriver to release the
catches at the top and bottom.
