If the Mile Marker Winches motor doesn't turn on, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the safety switch is ON. Check that the switch assembly is firmly connected to the connector. Inspect the battery cable and tighten any loose nuts on the cable connectors. If the solenoid is malfunctioning, tap it to free the contact while applying 12 volts directly to the coil terminal; you should hear a click. If these steps don't work, the switch assembly or the motor itself might be defective and require replacement. Also, check if water has entered the motor; if so, drain and dry it, then run it in short bursts without any load until it's completely dry.
