Introduction
This installation guide provides information on the installation, flushing and
integrity testing of the Helicon
™
S10 and S40 cartridges in their respective
housings.
Information is provided also on the installation and integrity testing of three
Helicon S40 cartridges in an S120 housing.
Safety and Environmental Compliance
Helicon S10 and S40 cartridges are packaged in a 3% formaldehyde solution.
Therefore, gloves and other appropriate safety equipment must be worn during
the installation of the cartridge. The bag in which the cartridge is shipped and the
used gloves, etc., must be disposed of appropriately.
During the initial flushing of the cartridge, the effluent must be directed into an
appropriate drain, consistent with applicable regulations.
