1. Connecting to a Local Network
Connect the control PC and RIP PC to a local network or with a LAN cable to save RIP data from the RIP
PC. Insert the LAN cable until it clicks into place.

About the network configuration of RIP PC and this machine

There are two types of connections between the RIP PC and this machine.
(1) Connection using the LAN cable

The following connection devices are used for network connection.
Device Required Recommended
RIP PC LAN port 1 Gbps or higher 10 Gbps
LAN cable CAT6A or higher CAT6A or higher
Switching hub 1 Gbps or higher 10 Gbps

LAN connection precautions
Use a Category 6A or higher LAN cable.
Use a 10GBASE-T compatible RIP PC or switching hub. It may take longer to transfer RIP data (jobs)
with substandard components.
Set up the control PC and the RIP PC to transfer print data on the same network. Connections via a
router or using Wi-Fi are not possible.
