Image
failures
have
many
possible
causes.
For
troubleshooting,
itis
necessary
to
determine
whether
a
fail-
ure
is
attributable
to
a
basic
cause
or
any
other
cause.
In
this
chapter,
troubleshooting
is
divided
into
“initial
checks”
and
“troubleshooting
procedures
classified
by
image
failure”.
If
an
image
fallure
has
occurred,
first
make
the
initial
checks,
then
proceed
to
the
correspond-
ing image failure troubleshooting procedure.

@ Are the Original Glass and ADF Transport Belt dirty or scratched?

reached the end of their cleaning/replacement cycles?
