Why are there streaks through my Minolta Copier copies?

  Streaks and specks on your copies may be due to a dirty Original Glass, so wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Also, the document pad might be dirty, so clean it with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent. If you are copying a highly translucent original, place a blank sheet of paper over the document. If copying a thin double-sided document, the information on the back side may be reproduced; use the Auto/Photo key to select a lighter density for the background. Finally, the Imaging Unit may have reached the end of its service life; in that case, contact your service representative.

  If your copy is too light, it could be because the copy density is set too light; use the Auto/Photo key to select a darker copy density. It could also be that the copy paper is damp; in that case, replace the paper.

Why is my Minolta Di1611 copy too dark?

  If your Minolta Copier copy is too dark, it could be due to the copy density being set too dark. Use the Auto/Photo key to select a lighter copy density. Another cause might be that the document was not pressed close enough against the Original Glass; ensure that the document is positioned closely against the Original Glass.

  If the image is not aligned properly, make sure the document is positioned correctly against the Document Scales. If the Document Feeder is installed, correctly adjust the Document Guide Plates for the size of the document. Also, ensure that the Document Guide Plates are slid up against the edges of the document. Finally, if curled paper was loaded into the paper tray, flatten the paper before loading it.

  A blurry copy from your Minolta Copier can be caused by damp copy paper; replace the paper. It can also be caused by the document not being pressed close enough against the Original Glass; position the document so that it is pressed closely against the Original Glass.

Why does nothing appear on my Minolta Di1611 Copier display?

  If nothing appears on the display, and only the [Start] key indicator is lit up in green, the machine is in Energy Saver mode (preheat mode). Press any key to cancel Energy Save mode. If the “AUTO SHUT OFF” function was activated, set the Power Switch to “O”.

Why won't my Minolta Di1611 make copies when I press the start key?

  If the [Start] key is pressed but no copies are made, check if the “Error” indicator on the Control Panel is lit; if so, follow the instructions in any messages that appear on the display. If the machine was just turned on, it is still warming up; the machine takes about 30 seconds to warm up after it is turned on.

  If the [Start] key indicator is not lit up in green, a user (section) access number has not been entered. Enter the user (section) access number according to the instructions in Access Numbers.

  If the machine cannot be set to Copy mode, it may be in Interrupt mode (the Interrupt indicator is lit). Press the [Interrupt] key to cancel Interrupt mode.
