REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

CYLINDER HEAD BOLT REMOVAL
(1) Using a 12 mm - 12 points socket wrench, loosen the
cylinder head bolts.

RETAINER LOCK REMOVAL
(1) Store removed valves, springs and other parts, tagged
to indicate their cylinder No. and location for reassembly.

VALVE STEM SEAL REMOVAL
(1) Do not reuse removed stem seals.
INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

VALVE STEM SEAL INSTALLATION
(1) Install the valve spring seat.
(2) The special tool must be used to install valve stem seals.
Improper installation could result in oil leaks past the valve
guide.

Do not reuse removed valve stem seals.

VALVE SPRING INSTALLATION
(1) Direct th e valve spring end with identification color toward
the spring retainer.
