3’4 . OPERATION
4.1 Operation mode
The inverter can be operated either with external signals, or with PU
(parameter unit) .
Selection of operation mode (exte;nal signal mode or parameter mode) can
be made by pressing key of PU.
It is possible to fix operation mode. (FUNCTION 79)

INITIAL OPERATION MODE
When the power is turned on (or CLEAR key is pressed to reset) ,
” external signal operation ” mode is automatically selected and the inverter
can be operated with external signals
. . ..the motor starts when START signal (STF-SD or STR-SD closed) is
given.
