5 Check the head packing (3) for an
abnormality such as deformation or

■ Water Separator - Bleed Air

■ Fuel Filter - Bleed Air
Bleed air from the fuel filter.
• For the location of the fuel filter, refer

1 Loosen the air vent plug of the fuel
filter by turning it counterclockwise.

2 Operate the priming pump up and

3 Wipe off fuel seeped out from the air
vent plug with a waste cloth.
4 Tighten the air vent plug of the fuel
filter by turning it clockwise.
• Tool: Torque wrench
• Tightening torque: 7.8 to 9.8 Nꞏm {0.8 to 1.0
kgfꞏm} [5.75 to 7.23 lbfꞏft]
