ALTERNATOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
2. Inspecting field coil
1) Check the continuity between the slip rings.
If there is no electric conduction, there is an
open circuit: replace the field coil.
2) Check the continuity between the slip ring and
shaft (or core).
If there is electric conduction, the field coil is
grounded: replace the field coil.
3. Inspecting stator core
1) Check the continuity between the stator core
and each lead wire.
If there is no electric conduction, there is an
open circuit: replace the stator core.
