CALCULATING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO CIRCLES
USING MEMORY
STOREIRECALL
To calculate the distance between two circles using memory store/recall, refer to
Figure
3-1

and perform the following steps:
1.
Press the [CIRCLE] key. The Circle lndicator will illuminate and

appear on the Sub-Display, indicating that three points need to be measured
to define the first circle.
2.
Move the crosshairs to target on P,,, then press either the [MANUAL IN] key
or the footswitch.
P02
will appear on the Sub-Display, indicating that there
are two points remaining to be measured.

Move the crosshairs to target on P,,, then press either the [MANUAL
IN]
key
or the footswitch.
will appear on the Sub-Display indicating that there
is one point remaining to be measured.
4.
~ove the crosshairs to target on P,,, then press either the [MANUAL IN] key
or the footswitch.

will.appear on the Sub-Display, indicating that there
are no points remaining to be measured.
The diameter D is calculated and displayed on
the X-axis Display. By
pressing the [OTHER] key, the point
Po is displayed.

Press the [STORE] key. The Store lndicator will illuminate.

Pressthe number of the memory location to store the data in. In this
example, press
[I].
The Sub-Display will display

NOTE:
Memory locations must be between

Press the [ENTER] key to complete the operation. The Store lndicator will
extinguish,

will be displayed on the Sub-Display and the coordinates of Po
will be stored in memory location

The Circle lndicator will remain illuminated and

will appear on the Sub-Display, indicating that three points need to be
measured to define the second circle.

Move the crosshairs to target on Pa, then press either the [MANUAL IN] key
or the footswitch.

will appear on the Sub-Display, indicating that there
are two points remaining to be measured.
10.
Movethe crosshairs to target on P,,, then press either the [MANUAL IN] key
or the footswitch.
will appear on the Sub-Display indicating that there
is one point remaining to
