Owner Checks and Services
(Refer to Mileage Intervals for Additional Checks and Services)
The owner or a service technician should perform certain basic maintenance
checks and inspections at the intervals indicated. The owner maintenance
service checks are generally not covered by warranties so the owner may be
charged for labour, parts or lubricants used.
Check At Least Every Month:
• Check function of all interior and exterior lights
• Check tyres for wear and proper air pressure
• Check engine oil uid level
• Check lap/shoulder belts and seat latches for wear and function
• Check handbrake for proper operation
• Check and lubricate hinges and latches (not including door hinge) if necessary
• Check safety-warning lamps (brake, safety belt) for operation
• Check cooling system uid level and coolant strength
• Check battery connections and clean if necessary
