Your Warranty Rights and Obligations
The United States Environmental Protection Agency, the California Air Resources
Board and moto guzzi Division of Piaggio & C. S.p.A. (hereinafter referred as "Moto
Guzzi") are pleased to illustrate the warranty of the emissions control system on your
vehicles from 1999 onwards. In California, new motorcycles must be designed, built
and equipped to meet stringent United States anti-smog standards. Moto Guzzi must
guarantee the emission control system on your motorcycle for the periods of time listed
below, except in case of violations, negligence or improper maintenance of your mo-
torcycle.
Your emission control system may include components such as the carburettor or fuel
injection system, ignition system, catalyst, and engine control unit. This could also
include pipes, belts, connectors and other emission related units.
If there is a legitimate condition, Moto Guzzi will repair your motorcycle free of charge,
including diagnosis, spare parts and labour costs.
Manufacturer’s Warranty Coverage
Class I motorcycles (3.05 - 10.31 cu in) (50 - 169 cc): for a period of use of five (5)
years or 7.457 mi (12000 km) whichever is sooner.
Class II motorcycles (10.37 - 17.03 cu in) (170 - 279 cc): for a period of use of five (5)
years or 11.185 mi (18000 km) whichever is sooner.
Class III motorcycles (17.09 cu in and higher) (280 cc) : for a period of use of five (5)
years or 18.641 mi (30.000 km) whichever is sooner.
