The NPort 5000 1- and 2-port model
supports SNMP V1 and V2, where the
4/8/16-
port model supports V1, V2 and
V3. Select the version according to
your environmental needs. Please note
that the 4/8/16-port model only
supports standard MIB such as
RFC1213/1317, which supports Set
server name, contact, location,
whereas the 1/2-port model only
supports Get, but not Set.

The following fields allow you to define usernames, passwords, and authentication parameters for two levels
of access: read-only and read/write. The name of the field will indicate which level of access it refers to. For
example, Read-only authentication mode allows you to configure the authentication mode for read-only
access, whereas Read/write authentication mode allows you to configure the authentication mode for
read/write access. For each level of access, you may configure the following:
