Engaging the Blades
EngagingthePTO(BladeEngage)transferspowerto
thecutting deckor other(separatelyavailable)attach=
ments,Toengagethe blades,proceedas follows:
1, Movethethrottlecontrolleverto theFAST(rabbit)
position,
2, GraspthePTO(BladeEngage)leverand pivotit all
thewayforwardinto theengaged(ON) position,
3, Keepthe throttleleverinthe FAST(rabbit)position
forthe mostefficientuseof the cuttingdeckor other
(separatelyavaUable)attachments
iMPORTANT:Models with ReverseCaution Node:
Theenginewill automaticallyshutoff if thePTOis
engagedwiththeshift leverin positionfor reversetravel
withtheignitionkeyinthe NORMALMOWINGposition,
Models without ReverseCaution Node:
ThePTO(BladeEngage)levermustbein the disen=
gaged(OFF)positionwhenstartingthe engine,when
travelingin reverse,andiftheoperatorleavesthe seat,

Using the Deck Lift Lever
Toraisethe cuttingdeck, movethe decklift levertothe
left,thenplaceit inthenotchbestsuitedfor yourapplica-
tion,RefertoSettingThe CuttingHeightearlierin this
section,
Mowing
WARNING: To help avoid blade
contact or a thrown object injury,
keep bystanders, hetpers, children
and pets at least 75 feet from the
machine while it is in operation.
Stop machine if anyone enters the
area.
Thefollowinginformationwill behelpfulwhenusingthe
